Does Your View of Eschatology Matter?.

Osama Bin Laden: “Our terrorism is a good accepted terrorism, because it’s against America, it’s for the purpose of defeating oppression so America would stop supporting Israel, who is killing our children.” On July 11, I spoke on the subject of how to share the preterist view. In that message I asked the question, “Is eschatology important?” Does it really matter what your view on the second coming is? Will it somehow impact your life? In answer to that question I gave four reasons why your view of eschatology matters. They were: 1. Eschatology is a major theological issue in the Scriptures. 2. Salvation is tied to eschatology. 3. Israel! 4. It affects your world view. When commenting on the third point, “Israel,” I said, “Zionism has affected our foreign policy.” Basically, our view of Israel has affected our foreign policy. This morning I’d like to attempt to prove that statement.

How to Share the Fulfilled view of Eschatology

“How to share the Preterist view.” It’s not the easiest or smartest thing to just say to someone: “I believer that Jesus returned.” Although I did that very thing not long ago. So how do you introduce this subject? How can we introduce this without causing people to tear their clothes and throw dust into the air? I have come up with a handout that I use to share Preterism, and I thought I’d share it with you this morning. But before I share with you how to share Preterism, a question we should first answer is: Why share Preterism? People always says to me, “Why is this important? What does it matter if He has returned or not?” My answer is always the same, “Does truth matter? If it doesn’t, than we don’t need to study the Bible at all. But if truth does matter, then Preterism matters.

You’ve Gotta Be Kidding ...Right?

There are some in Christianity who believes that the second coming of Christ occurred in AD 70. Although a growing number of Christians are embrasing this view, the response of the majority is: You’ve Gotta Be Kidding ...Right? WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSE BE?
It if finished... Dave Hunt assumes “Some believers insist that most Bible prophecy was fulfilled in AD 70 at the destruction of the Temple. Yet we must ask, When was Jerusalem surrounded by the armies of all nations? When did Christ’s feet touch the Mount of Olives?”

Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
